I just wanted to share with you an amazing website that has a focus on creating free social media icon sets.

After hours of scanning the internet using keywords like social networking icons, social networking buttons, social bookmarking icons, social media buttons, social media icons, glossy social media buttons, etc. I found a bunch of beautiful social networking icon sets that were incomplete.

I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and all I wanted was to find a set of beautiful social networking icons for my blog. I found that the free social media icon sets out there are mostly incomplete. I was having a hard time finding a set that had a glossy LinkedIn and MySpace icon.  So I tell my boyfriend, please help me find some cool ones. A set that included both MySpace and LinkedIn.

And he found a site! http://webtreats.mysitemyway.com/

He found a beautiful set of Blue Jelly Social Media Icons which are now part of my blog.

This blog he found hasn't been up for very long, but if  it keeps going you may see some great things from them. I will definitely be keeping my eyes on it.

My advice when creating free social networking icon sets…make one for every social network you can think of. We want them!

This set wasn't complete however. I would like to have seen a YouTube icon. Hopefully soon!

Keep Searching,

Glad you liked our Blue Jelly Social Media Icons. Since you were kind enough to say such nice things about us, we created two YouTube icons for you. Here’s the download link:

The webtreats website that your boyfriend found is part of the ETC Network that includes a site devoted to icons, another to backgrounds, another to tutorials, and now the newest addition, web treats, which can be almost anything. :)

Social media on the internet is rapidly growing and changing. It is somewhat difficult to be current with all the things that you can do with it. Although it appears that content will always be the most important thing.
