Why You NEED To Get Away…

A few weeks ago I took an AMAZING cruise trip to Alaska and I have to say it was one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been to. I know it may sound silly to go on a cruise where it is cold in the summer but I have to say that I wouldn’t have traded it for anything.

Sadly, the glaciers that exist up there now are melting at an accelerated rate and I’m not so sure even my kids will get to see them when I have them.

But on my way up to Alaska I was inspired because during that trip I decided to turn off all communication. Computer, cellphone…and let me tell you…it was the best thing I did for myself all year.

I’d love to hear from you!! What have you done for yourself this year? When you go on trips do you find it important to turn off all communication too?
