Welcome back! If you haven't already, be sure to subscribe to my FREE Newsletter for new content updates.

Today I want to share some really important information with you about utilizing SEO and Social Media together to drive traffic to your website. What if I were to tell you that if you used SEO and Social media together that you would have the chance to generate 2 to 3 times as much traffic to your website than if you used just one of the strategies alone?

AMAZING right?

While working with businesses across the nation over the past few years I've seen first hand that businesses who integrate SEO with Social Media tend to drive even more traffic and even more leads into their businesses daily!

After submerging myself in the SEO and Social Media space I began to realize there was a HUGE gap between the two worlds. I started to notice that Social Media specialists were missing out on their content being found in search engines by NOT utilizing SEO and SEO specialists were missing out on top rankings in search engines by not taking advantage of Social Media!

So what do you need to know to learn how to integrate SEO with Social Media?

Integrating SEO with Social Media

Implementing Structural Elements for SEO: You first need to make sure that you have all the structural elements in place on your website that will allow search engines to easily access and rank the pages of your website. Some of these elements are a little technical and may require a web designer's help.

Keyword Research and Placement: The biggest mistake when targeting a key term is forgetting to do keyword research. By discovering targeted, non-competitive keywords in your niche and placing them in the right places with in your content, you have a very strong chance of ranking high for a particular key term and gaining valuable traffic to your website.

Gaining A Variety of Diverse, Keyword Rich Links: It's very important to develop a variety of diverse, keyword rich links to your content seeing as how link building has become one of the top ranking factors. It's becoming even more important to learn how to properly give keyword rich links to trustworthy websites and gain keyword rich links from high authority websites. Learning how to properly give links away and build links to your website can give you a very strong advantage to rank high in search engine for highly competitive key terms.

Adding Social Tools: The first step in integrating SEO with Social Media is integrating social tools on your website. This will easily allow your followers to share your content on various social networking sites! Think about it. We are much more inclined to share content if we can share it with a click of the mouse.

Create A Social TRIBE Ready And Willing To Link To You: In order to develop keyword rich links to your content you need a group of people that enjoys your content and are ready and willing to share it. You can find these people by joining various social networks that your niche hangs out on and start building relationships with them! Building relationships is going to be KEY when building links to your content. Social Media specialists are great at developing relationships with their followers so you can start utilizing those relationships and begin teaching others how to link to your content with keyword rich terms!

And That's It…….

Now you are probably thinking…"This is great! But what are the structural elements that need to be in place? How do I keyword research? Where do I place the keywords within my content? How do I teach others to link build? How do I add social tools to my website? etc."

Well, I recently became inspired when I attended a Social Media Club event here in Seattle and they offered an education class to Social Media specialists who wanted to integrate SEO into with their Social Media. Unfortunately, the class was an hour and a half long and there was NO WAY someone unfamiliar with SEO could learn how to implement SEO with their Social Media in an hour and a half.

Also…there is NO way I can teach this stuff in one single blog post…

That is why I created a 7 day "SEO/Social Media Bootcamp" Video Training Series that is going to teach you step-by-step how to integrate SEO into your Social Media strategy! Because I'm so passionate about getting the word out and helping others with integrating SEO with their Social Media, I'm giving away this training ABSOLUTELY FREE!

    Hi Shaylee!
I could not agree more, integrating social media with SEO is essential!
And comeing from the social arena myself more so than the SEO focused writing, I've been trying to integrate more keyword research into my posts. It's a challenge when sometimes you just have the urge to write, and want to make a point, to stop and think about keywords!
But thanks for putting a focus on this and helping me to do so as well (as per my post which refers to yours LOL!)
    Wishing You Brilliant Success!

    Hey Vicki,

LOL! I totally know what you mean! It’s so difficult to remember to do everything in a post when you get super excited about writing about something! Don’t we do enough already :)
